FOR THE RECORD
01
MISSION
For the Record was written with the goal of promoting counter-storytelling. The show strives to illuminate history;s unsung heroes, preserve their legacies, and use their status as 'overlooked figures' to provoke a much-needed conversation about the types of stories the world should be telling.
02
PARTNERSHIP
Since For the Record was highly inspired by Amisha (Amy) Padnani's "Overlooked Project" in the New York Times, I reached out to Ms. Padnani and facilitated a partnership with the New York Times. The Times Events page promoted our show and sold tickets, allowing their premium subscribers to attend a pre-event reception with Ms. Padnani followed by a post-show discussion.

LIBRARY INSTALLATION
In order to maximize the achievements of this show's mission, we created a lobby exhibit that showcased the stories and lifetime achievements of 35 revolutionary women whose stories were not able to be included in the musical. We then partnered with One Book One Northwestern to turn this lobby display into a university library exhibit.
